Capstone Project: Visual Diary

     This project was originally meant to be an exploration of audio visualization and the expression of emotion through sounds and visual imagery. I would like to focus more on how emotions can be translated into visual imagery, and lean more into using natural language processing and sentiment analysis rather than primarily basing the visuals off audio qualities.

     I want this piece to be almost a sort of confession booth or visual diary, where participants are able to either speak or type what they want to say, and are able to see the visual representation of their words. As someone who struggles to vocalize how they feel and express themselves fully, I want to create a piece that can serve as a safe environment for people to express themselves without fear of judgement. By allowing participants to see what they say reflected in visual form, I hope to provide participants with a sense of relief, and possibly a way to show what they are feeling even if they are not ready to say it out loud.
